“I can’t quite put my finger on what makes Wedlocked so special. Is it the strong characters, or is it the universal story of trying to live up to other’s expectations while staying true to your own dreams? Whatever it is, Wedlocked is a fun, emotional and intensely satisfying read that I would highly recommend.”

Hands and Home

Wedlocked is Iris Rainer Dart meets Jennifer Weiner with a few zany plot twists added in. It was such a compelling story with well-developed characters and plot and fun Jewish humor. It had the feel of a chick flick without even being on the big screen…I really enjoyed Wedlocked and can’t stop thinking about it. I’ve been recommending it to all my friends and want to recommend it here, as well! I think Ms. Trachtenberg has a real winner on her hands and I wish her tons of success with it.”

Not just another chick book!
Shanon R. McKenna
If Jane Austen were still writing for us today I believe she would have written the “forward” for Wedlocked. This book is filled with hysterical characters you could find in your own family, a perfect blend of “dramedy”, a smart, vividly written heroine with just enough neurosis that I find her totally believable, and most importantly – a happy ending for all those who deserve one!
This is not just another beach book full of half realized characters, corny romance scenes and, predictable endings. It is intelligently written, has great character development and, I read it cover to cover in one day picking it up every free moment my children gave me and staying up way too late to finish it. I highly recommend it for the beach, for vacation, for any time you are disappointed in love, or if you just need a good laugh.
You will love it!
I read this book in three sittings. Couldn’t put it down. The author’s voice is so entertaining and funny. Why are there so few books like this out there? I’m so tired of reading shallow junk or depressing subject matter. Wedlocked was just the right mix of humor, depth and plotting. Fantastic characters–didn’t want to say goodbye to them! Do yourself a favor and buy it. It won’t be one of those books you can’t get through or will lose interest in halfway through and wish you didn’t spend the money on. This is the kind of book that’s purely enjoyable to read. I saw it so clearly I felt like I was watching a movie. I hope they make it into one very soon.
Such Fun Reading!

There aren’t many books that can hold my attention these days, But Wedlocked absolutely did! This is such an entertaining book – perfect summmer reading – that I’m recommending it to everyone I know. It’s the story of an aspiring actress who lets all her disappointment in life and love impel her into marrying the absolute wrong man! The story takes you from NY to LA to Italy and you really feel like you are in all of these places! The main character, Rebecca, is so real you’ll feel like you know her. You will also experience her angst and root for her throughout (Don’t worry, there’s a very happy ending!)All the characters are so vivid and the story is so well told that you totally get lost in it and don’t even realize how fast you are flipping through the pages. I love the way this author writes – so clever and funny. When I finished it I was actually a little depressed because it was over! I read that this is the author’s debut novel and I hope she’s got another one on the way!
Great read
I loved this book. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I couldn’t wait to see what happened at every turn. The characters were so in depth that I felt like I really knew them. This is the best book that I have read in a long time. Don’t miss it!
I really loved this book

When I started reading, I sort of expected the usual “chick” book. But that wasn’t at all what I got. It was smart and witty and touching in all the right places. Definitely still qualifies as a beach read, but without all the usual fluff. Just a fast-moving, entertaining, and unexpectedly substantive book. A really great read!
This Summer’s must read
If you are looking for a book to read this summer, this is it! Once I picked it up I did not want to put it down. I could not wait to see what would happen next.
Looking for a great summer read that is so well written? Get Wedlocked.

Every now and then I need a book that doesn’t read like all the books I read for work. Wedlocked has just the right amount of humor and wit, with a dash of irony and a cast of characters that you will either want to embrace or run away from. Bonnie gives us a humorous account of one woman’s path to her best life – of course, the bumps in the road keep it interesting and makes it hard to put down. Thanks, Bonnie for writing a book that is amusing and a bit thought provoking. Bravo!

Wedlocked the novel

Book Genius

Bravo to Wedlocked! I was blown away by this witty, wonderful romantic comedy. This is a page turner. The writing is so vivid and lively that it played in my mind like a five star movie. The book took me on a fantastic journey from New York to California, Italy and beyond. Just when I thought it could not get any better, this wonderfully written story blew me away. This is a must read book and you won’t be able to stop yourself from raving about it. Enjoy!
Such a great book!!
I got an advanced copy of this novel through a friend of mine and fell IN LOVE with it. I read it on the plane from Los Angeles to Boston and then finished it on the way back. I could not put it down. The characters are so real and funny and unforgettable. I’m still thinking about them weeks later. This should definitely be a movie! Wedlocked is funny, smart, poignant and I’m recommending to everyone I know–the perfect book to bring to the beach and get lost in. It’s the story of Rebecca Ross, an aspiring actress who, after many hard knocks, impulsively marries into a total disaster. The story takes you through her life, the crazy wedding, and onto the hysterically funny honeymoon in Italy. I won’t give it away because it’s great, but the ending is a very happy one. There are so many lousy, boring, novels out there I’ve wasted my time reading, so it’s so refreshing and such an unexpected joy to find a gem like this one! Do not miss.
Hilarious and enjoyable reading!!
Just finished reading Wedlocked: A Novel and I’m depressed because it’s over! This author is great. I couldn’t put it down. Kept waking my husband up because I was giggling so much. The story was riveting and the characters so real I could totally relate. I can’t wait for her next book! I wish there more writers out there writing books that are so enjoyable like this one. I’ve wasted so much money on crappy books and I’m so glad I got my money’s worth on this one! I’m recommending this to all my friends and relatives.

BARNES AND NOBLE

Highly recommended–so much fun!

What a well written, thoroughly enjoyable book this is! The author’s voice is fresh and witty and the story she tells is completely engaging. I devoured the book and then was so upset it was done, that I actually read it again. I have NEVER done that before! I hope Bonnie Trachtenberg will be writing many more books like this one and SOON PLEASE!

Wonderful book!

I’ve never read a book quite like Wedlocked. It’s not one of those tired cookie-cutter books you feel you’ve read a thousand times. The author has a great sense of humor and is a wonderful storyteller. It’s only about 300 pages, but you feel you’ve read an engrossing saga because not only does it take you to NY, Los Angeles and Italy, but you also get to know the main character, Rebecca, from the time she is a child through adulthood and up to the present disaster she is facing. Therefore, when all these wild things happen in her life, you really have a vested interest because you really care. And she’s not the only great character. There are a bunch and they are very vividly developed. I could totally relate to the idea that at a person’s most vulnerable time, they can make the craziest decision! Happened to me too! But I loved this story because it was an out of the box romantic comedy with a happy ending, making all Rebecca’s trial and tribulations worth it. I totally recommend this book to everyone!

Fabulous book–a must read!

Let me just say for starters, that this is one of the most enjoyable books I’ve ever read. It’s clever, poignant, funny and endearing. Not just ordinary chick fluff at all! It’s not just about a disastrously funny bad marriage, but it’s a terrific love story too. The characters are unforgettable and I did not want this book to end! It started off great and somehow got better and better and better! This author is such a good writer, so funny. The story is so engrossing and real and the dialogue is smart and witty. You’ll dash through the pages, not wanting to put it down.
